Hannah Marcovitch is in her final year of medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her time in medical school, she has focused on connecting ballot-box issues to health and decreasing voting barriers for patients and health care providers alike. She has worked to implement a hospital-based voter mobilization campaign, to promote graduate student civic engagement across the Emory campus, and has collaborated with the national organization Vot-ER in its effort to promote voting as a health care issue. During her time at Emory, she also completed coursework for a Master of Public Health in epidemiology, with research focused on evaluating pregnancy outcomes at a safety net hospital in Atlanta after Georgia’s six-week abortion ban went into effect in 2022. After graduating, she plans to pursue a career in the field of OB-GYN.
